These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of CVLuma, provided by [Legal business name] (“we”, “us”). By creating an account, purchasing a plan or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. The Service
CVLuma provides an online CV builder, CV templates, PDF export through your browser, a content library of example wording, career tools (such as a job-description keyword matcher, CV checks, a LinkedIn toolkit, a cover-letter builder and an application tracker) and related features. Features available to you depend on your plan.
2. Accounts
You can use parts of the Service without an account; content created this way is stored only in your browser. To save content online or make purchases you need an account. You must provide accurate information, keep your password secure and be at least 16 years old. You are responsible for activity under your account.
3. Plans and payments
- Free — the CV builder (including quick start), free templates and a watermarked on-screen preview. Free accounts cannot download PDFs.
- Single ($4.99, one-time) — unlocks one CV of your choice, permanently: watermark-free PDF downloads, premium templates for that CV and continued editing of that CV. A Single purchase applies only to the CV you selected and cannot be transferred to another CV, including copies made with “Duplicate”.
- Pro ($5.99 per month) — create 5+ CVs, watermark-free downloads, all templates and all Pro tools while your subscription is active.
Prices are shown in US dollars and may be subject to taxes depending on your location. Payments are processed by PayPal; you can pay with a PayPal account or, where PayPal supports it, a debit or credit card. Your purchase is applied once PayPal confirms the payment to us.
4. Subscriptions and cancellation
Pro renews automatically each month until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from Account → Plan & billing, or from your PayPal account. Cancellation stops future charges immediately, and you keep Pro features until the end of the period you have already paid for. If a renewal payment fails, PayPal may retry it; if payment cannot be collected, Pro access ends.
5. Refunds
Refunds are handled under our Refunds & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Nothing in these Terms affects rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.
6. Your content
You own the content you create. You give us a limited licence to store, process and display it solely to provide the Service to you. You are responsible for ensuring your content is accurate and lawful and that you have the right to include any personal information about others (for example, references).
7. Suggested content and tools
Example wording, templates and tool outputs are starting points. Examples may contain illustrative figures that you must replace with your own genuine information. Our tools use rule-based analysis, not artificial intelligence; they cannot know how any particular employer or applicant tracking system will assess your application. We do not guarantee interviews, job offers or any employment outcome.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service, including by attempting to access other users’ data, interfering with its security or operation, circumventing plan restrictions, using it to create deceptive or unlawful documents, or reselling it without our permission.
9. Our intellectual property
The Service, including its design, templates, software and content library, is owned by us or our licensors. Documents you create using our templates are yours to use for your own job search and career purposes.
10. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service reliable but cannot guarantee it will always be available or error-free. We may improve or change features. If we make a change that materially reduces a paid feature you have bought, we will give reasonable notice and, where appropriate, a fair remedy.
11. Suspension and termination
You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that seriously or repeatedly breach these Terms, after notice where reasonable.
12. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is”, and our total liability to you for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost opportunities. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by [Governing law jurisdiction, e.g. the laws of England and Wales]. If you are a consumer, you may also benefit from mandatory protections of the law of the country where you live.
